Big Apple A+   is a one-stop centre that offers homework guidance, tuition and day care services to help primary and secondary school age children reach their full potential. They aim to complement the work being done in schools, while resolving any learning gaps to ensure children receive the attention they need in the areas they need most. Through the use of a proven learning system, children are given the tools and assistance to build a brighter future ahead.

At Big Apple A+, the goal is to make learning fun and inspire confidence in 7- to 15-year-olds to maximize their school achievements. Staffed by highly trained tutors, who are well-versed in the latest education syllabuses, children will see themselves reaching new heights and growing in their creative and critical thinking abilities.

Primary & Secondary Tuition

To ensure children can keep up and stay ahead of their peers, tutors use research-based teaching techniques to help children learn effectively and tackle examinations with more confidence. The programme encompasses comprehensive coverage of all primary school subjects: Chinese, Bahasa Malaysia (Penulisan & Pemahaman), English (Comprehension, Writing & Phonetics), Mathematics & Mental Arithmetic, Computer, and Art.

Students also learn to think critically, creatively and be a caring individual through different types of school holiday programme. Explorations could be done in our Science Lab, Mini Cinema, Apple Kitchen and other facility in the centres. Kids want to learn, and it’s important to hold space for them to do some serious discovery of themselves, others and their world.

The Big Apple A+ programme is aligned with the Standard Based Curriculum for Primary Schools (KSSR) and features the following unique elements:

Unique rhyming learning method

A set of rhyming & memorizing methods are introduced to improve student’s learning process.

Online Learning

An online learning platform with animated videos and quizzes was established to deliver additional supplementary e-learning and reference materials. Smart boards are also available for learning convenience.

Practice Tests

Children are given good exam prep and practice with a series of past actual exam papers from 13 states in Malaysia. There are also monthly assessments conducted to evaluate children’s progress.

Lesson Plans for Teachers

Teachers are supported with a set of pre-prepared lesson plans to ensure effective classroom management and delivery of lessons.

Regular Teacher Training Sessions

Teachers are supported with regular training in order to perform their tasks properly.

Ongoing Curriculum Research and Development

The R&D team works hard to incorporate the latest teaching materials and practices into the curriculum to enhance children’s learning outcomes.

Day Care Services

Kidz Space integrates day care services to primarily support working parents. It also recognises the beneficial effects childcare has on children’s education, development and overall well-being. Structured schedules are put in place to ensure children complete their homework, with thorough understanding of each subject. This helps inculcate children with a sense of self-discipline, and other essential life skills like focus and time management. To maximise learning, mentally stimulating games and activities are used to help sharpen their minds. There are occasional holiday programmes, camps and educational excursions to extend learning. All in all, they are on a mission to provide the highest quality education and care for the children. That means not only nourishing children’s minds but also their bodies, making sure they receive all the appropriate nutrients necessary for their growing needs through nutritious meals.

Enrichment Programmes

For a fully optimised learning experience, Big Apple A+ offers a range of facilities and supplemental enrichment programmes devoted to help children become all-rounders. Children have the option to participate in Cambridge English,  Science classes (little einstein) and instrument classes. They are fun and engaging. More importantly, they expand knowledge, promote problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and make learning more valuable.

Within this secure and supportive environment, children truly embark on a wholesome journey that gives them the opportunity to learn, have fun and build friendships that can positively influence their social-emotional health.
