APLUS tuition center educates and caters for children between 7 to 17 years old. It is situated opposite to the famous Setapak shopping mall, Setapak central and the feeling of being a home away from home is fostered amongst the children. The tuition center looks traditional on the outside but provides a warm, intimate and nurturing atmosphere inside. It’s on the 2^nd floor and 3^rd floor on the shoplots.  The friendly and safe environment provides an educational opportunity for all children to learn and develop academically.

The Practice of discipline

The tuition center was established in 2009 by Ms. Maeve & Alice, two dedicated educationists with 15 years of experience and a strong passion for teaching. They work hard to honour the tradition of providing children with a solid education that is instilled with positive discipline. Teachers in the center are mostly graduated with Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree from reputable universities. It is also apparent that children here are guided to behave appropriately, and develop important management skills like initiating the effort to read and complete their homework. 80% of students in this center are able to score better after joining APLUS. The tuition center will provide ARP(Attitude Reformation Program) camp for primary student to change the student attitude towards positive side.

A Good Exam-Readiness Center

A teacher-directed learning approach is used to foster the academic, moral, social, and emotional development of children. The APLUS learning materials implemented is based upon the principles outlined in the KSSR and KSSM (Kurikulum Standard Sekolah Rendah/ Kurikulum Standard Sekolah Menengah) framework. Lessons are centered around common topics and the center is equipped with SMARTBOARDS, which give a coordinated way to facilitate learning. It enables students to easily relate to prior knowledge and consolidate their skills in key subject areas: language, mathematics, science, moral, geography, history and essays in PT3 and SPM. The school program places a strong emphasis on developing strong mathematical acquisition; children are encouraged to strengthen their literacy capabilities in English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia. All quizzes prepared by the center are based on exam questions from 13 states in Malaysia. APLUS has also developed  a unique methods of language formula, allowing their students to learn easily. Transportation services are also provided for needed parents.

Student Progress

Teachers will update parents frequently so parents can learn about their children’s development, behavior and progress during parent-teacher calls. Teachers will highlight children’s strengths and weaknesses, and discuss ways for parents to support learning at home. Children’s abilities and levels of knowledge are measured regularly through simple exams held during the school year. The results allow parents, as well as teachers, to better understand children’s academic position and adjust accordingly.
